What does B Corp mean?

B Corporations, or B Corps, are businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B stands for Benefit for all. The B Global Network mobilises the B Corp movement to change our economic system to positively impact all stakeholders — workers, communities, customers, and our planet.

To qualify as a B Corp, we had to undergo rigorous assessments to demonstrate our dedication to ethical business practices, sustainability and social responsibility. We have made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, and we are demonstrating accountability and transparency by disclosing this record of performance in a public B Corp Profile.

We are now part of a global movement of companies striving for more than just profit. We are dedicated to using business as a force for good!

Companies who apply for B Corp have to meet the strict criteria and reach the 80 point pass score. The median score for businesses that apply is 50.9. We are proud that we achieved a score of 80.8.

None of this would have been achievable without our incredible team, who not only share our vision, but actively support our mission  and drive for meaningful change.

We are excited about the journey ahead as we continue to prioritise purpose alongside profit.

Why did we want to certify as a B Corp?

B Corps often have a strong mission and set of values that prioritise social and environmental impact alongside profit. Certifying as a B Corp formalises these values and demonstrates our genuine commitment to them.

What makes us a B Corp and how are we doing business differently?

As a B Corp, we have undergone a rigorous certification process to meet and exceed high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Here's how we are doing business differently as a B Corp:

  • Triple Bottom Line Focus: Unlike traditional businesses that primarily focus on profit, we are committed to the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit. This means we actively consider the social and environmental impact of our decisions alongside financial considerations.
  • Purpose-Driven: Our business is guided by a clear sense of purpose beyond just making money. We exist to create positive and lasting impacts on our community and the environment.
  • Transparency: We are committed to transparency in our operations. We openly share information about our social and environmental performance, allowing our stakeholders to hold us accountable for our impact.
  • Community Engagement: We are deeply involved in our community, supporting local initiatives and giving back.
  • Sustainable Practices: We actively seek out and implement sustainable practices in our operations. This includes reducing our carbon footprint, minimising waste, and using environmentally friendly materials whenever possible.
  • Employee Well-being: Our employees are not just a workforce but a valued part of our community. We prioritise their well-being, offer fair wages, and provide opportunities for growth and development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Becoming a B Corp is not a one-time achievement; it's an ongoing commitment to improving our social and environmental performance. We regularly assess our impact and seek ways to do better.

MOVING forward

The hard work is not finished.  Certified B Corporations must undertake the assessment and verification process every three years, ensuring lasting commitment to the community. We are dedicated to continuously enhancing our performance and have already increased our scoring to 83.2. As we look ahead to recertification in December 2026, our goal is to reach, or even surpass, a score of 85.0.  This ambition reflects our dedication to not just maintaining our current standards but actively striving for greater heights.
